PASQAL

Description

PASQAL builds quantum computers from ordered neutral atoms in 2D and 3D arrays to bring a practical quantum advantage to its customers and solve real-world problems. PASQAL was founded in 2019 by Georges-Olivier Reymond, Christophe Jurczak, Professor Alain Aspect, winner of the 2022 Nobel Prize in Physics, Professor Antoine Browaeys and Doctor Thierry Lahaye. Antoine Browaeys and Thierry Lahaye's team at the Institut d'Optique (IOGS, CNRS) have been demonstrating for several years that the simulation of many-body problems is intractable for conventional high-performance computers. Since 2011, they have been building and improving programmable quantum simulators based on arrays of neutral atoms. PASQAL draws on this decade of expertise and numerous achievements in laser engineering, vacuum systems and sensing systems to build quantum processors that tackle complex questions, from fundamental science to industry's grand challenges. PASQAL has secured over €140 million in funding to date, combining equity and non-dilutive financing. PASQAL employs over 140 people and has offices in Palaiseau and Massy, south of Paris, France, Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and Sherbrooke, Canada. Translated with DeepL.com (free version)
