Description

With over fifteen years' experience, Sébastien Dupraz is a recognized leader in the field of energy and environmental transition. He has led innovative initiatives in partnership with public and private players, implementing science-based solutions to promote sustainability. After completing a PhD in environmental geochemistry at the IPGP and leading several research projects in the energy and water fields, Sébastien acquired solid skills in strategy and innovation, as well as in project and personnel management. In particular, he has led a number of research teams at BRGM through initiatives in carbon mitigation and recovery, metrology and environmental reporting, as well as in the deployment of green processes. More recently, he has been exploring artificial intelligence approaches, and in particular digital twins, to solving these environmental challenges. Among his notable achievements, Sébastien has established and led more than 20 projects and 4 programs over the past 10 years, and leads the French ERIC ECCSEL partnership on behalf of MESRI. He is also the author of over twenty scientific articles. Currently Director of the regional JUNON program, which brings together some fifteen partners and a hundred researchers, Sébastien initiates and manages a portfolio of environmental projects aimed at developing regional infrastructures for monitoring and managing natural resources in the Centre Val de Loire region.
