Description
As the CEO of Quobly, a France-based quantum startup founded in 2022, Dr. Maud Vinet is at the forefront of efforts to bring an operable quantum processor to the market rapidly. This groundbreaking technology harnesses the principles of quantum mechanics, enabling her to address complex challenges in fields such as medicine, energy, and other critical sectors. Quobly’s uniqueness lies in its ability to apply the same scalability to qubits as Europe’s existing semiconductor fabs do with millions of identical transistors. Before founding Quobly, Maud led the quantum computing program at a leading French research organization, CEA Leti, where, for 20 years, she ran technology transfer and development for the semiconductor industry. During that time, she collaborated with many of the leading players in the semiconductor field – Global Foundries, IBM, STMicroelectronics and more. She has authored or co-authored about 300 papers, owns more than 70 patents related to nanotechnology and was bestowed the title of “Chevalière de la Légion d’Honneur” (Knight of the French Legion of Honor) in 2019.
